Support Jeanette

In my first term as a U-46 School Board Member I have been involved in many positive changes:

• Worked diligently to ensure that duly elected board members had access to all closed session recordings which resulted in a bill passed unanimously in the General Assembly.
• Consistently supported the first charter school, offering parents increased educational choice.
• Increased transparency for the citizens of U-46 through the release of closed session minutes.
• Elevated the dialogue regarding academic freedom, diversity of thought, and balanced curriculum.

Many challenges remain:

• Pathways must be implemented in a manner that prepares students for college or career after high school, while preserving a well-rounded general education option for all students.
• Budgets and tax levies continue to increase regardless of the declining enrollment and increased funding by the State.
• Curriculum resources purchased by taxpayers continue to restrict academic freedom, diversity of thought, and lack balance on controversial issues.
• Securing the privacy and well-being of all students.

Last election cycle like-minded candidates were outspent 6-1 by Teacher's Unions. I anticipate more of the same to defeat my re-election bid, but with your your help we can continue the momentum to improve the quality of our children's education while respecting the taxpayer, championing academic freedom, diversity of thought, and securing safe classrooms for teachers and students!
