As this campaign is just starting, it is VERY important to demonstrate an ability to raise the funds necessary to not only win a primary but take on Ron Barber who now has over $500,000 in his warchest.  

Money is not always everything, but it is important in that it is necessary to reach our voters.    Some have the ability to make a sizeable donation.   If you do, it would help us tremendously if you made it "up front".    To be taken seriously, the media, prospective supporters and backers will look to see if we can raise the money.   Your help is critical at this juncture.

I certify that I am a United States citizen or a permanent US resident 18 years or older. This contribution was made from my own funds and will not be reimbursed by any other person or entity. This contribution is not made from the general treasury funds of a corporation, labor organization or national bank.

Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in an election cycle. Contributions are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. An individual may contribute up to a maximum of $2,600 for the primary and another $2,600 for the general election. Couples may contribute up to $5,200 for the primary from a joint account, but such a contribution requires both signatures. Contributions from corporations, labor unions, federal government contractors, national banks and foreign nationals without permanent residency status are prohibited.
