Contributions to the Fitzgerald for Congress, Inc are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. All contributions are subject to the following limits: for individuals and non-multicandidate PACs, $2,700 per election; for multicandidate PACs, $5,000 per election; for married couples, with the signatures of both spouses, $5,400 per election. For purposes of these limits, the primary and general elections are deemed to be separate elections. Contributions from corporations, unions, foreign nationals, federal government contractors, federally-chartered entities or another person's or entity's funds are prohibited. Federal law requires the Fitzgerald for Congress committee to use its best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation and employer of each individual whose contributions exceed $200 in the two-year federal election cycle.
