Contributions from corporations, foreign nationals (without “green cards”) and federal government contractors are prohibited. The maximum an individual may contribute to this joint fundraising committee is $10,200.  The maximum a couple sharing an account from which the funds are drawn can contribute to the joint fundraising committee is $20,400.  Individuals should review their personal contribution histories to determine how this contribution may affect their federal individual biennial contribution limit for the 2013-2014 election cycle (Federal Election Commission Regulations require that contributions made to the Cruz for Senate Committee will count against individual’s 2013-2014 candidate limits even though Senator Cruz is not on the ballot until 2018).

The maximum amount a federal multi-candidate political action committee may contribute to this joint fundraising committee is $15,000. The maximum amount a federal political action committee that is not a multi-candidate committee may contribute to this joint fundraising committee is $10,200.

Any contributions to the TED CRUZ VICTORY COMMITTEE permissible under the Federal Election Campaign Act, as amended (“FECA”), 2 U.S.C. §§ 431 et seq., from donors who have not exceeded their applicable Federal contribution limits shall be allocated among the participating committees pursuant to FECA and the following method:

The next $2,600 will go to the Ted Cruz for Senate general election account.

4. The first $500 from any federal multicandidate PAC contribution shall go to the Jobs, Growth and Freedom Fund for that PAC’s 2014 contribution. The next $5,000 from any federal multicandidate PAC contribution shall go to the Ted Cruz for Senate primary election account. The next $4,500 shall go to the Jobs, Growth and Freedom Fund for that PAC’s 2014 contribution.  The next $5,000 from any federal multicandidate PAC contribution shall go to the Ted Cruz for Senate general election account.

All contributions permissible under FECA but that would cause a contributor to exceed any applicable Federal contribution limit to a specific committee, shall be reallocated to the remaining Committee to the extent permitted by FECA according to this formula. Any contribution that would otherwise cause a contributor to exceed any applicable Federal contribution limit or not be permissible under FECA shall be refunded to the contributor. Any contributor may designate his or her contribution to a specific participating Committee(s), to the extent permissible by FECA. Notwithstanding the allocation formula, any contributor may make his or her contribution payable directly to any of the specific participating Committee(s). Any such designated contribution that causes the contributor to exceed the contribution limit to the designated participating committee shall not be reallocated by the Ted Cruz Victory Committee absent the prior written permission of the contributor as required by law.
