The problem isn't lack of school funding.

After all, BCPS absorbs more money each year than the county brings in from property tax and income tax revenue COMBINED.

More likely, the problem is waste, graft, sweetheart deals, no-bid contracts, kickbacks, and other profit-seeking political gamesmanship.

While these problems are inherent risks in all politicized institutions, they can be managed with improved oversight.

That's why we need an audit.

This is a non-partisan issue that affects students, parents, teachers, and taxpayers alike.
