Elect Candidates Who Support The Republican Platform

Was it Lansing Democrats or Lansing Republicans who were behind the following initiatives?

1)      Increased seniors pension taxes

2)      Delayed a scheduled cut in State Income tax – effectively raising your taxes.

3)      Voted to implement ObamaCare by approving ObamaCare Insurance Exchanges.

4)      Submitted a bill to implement Obama’s expansion of Medicaid while calling it Medicaid Reform.

5)      Are currently crafting legislation to increase gasoline taxes.

6)      Actively campaigned against a constitutional amendment which would have made it harder to raise your taxes.

Clearly these must be Democrat initiatives, right?!  Wrong!  These days it is sometimes difficult to tell the D’s from the R’s in Lansing.

This problem is not a new one.  All too often some Republicans abandon their platform after arriving in Lansing.  In the past citizen’s had few choices but to accept this bad behavior.  But not anymore!

We can raise money to support candidates who support the Republican platform.

If you are tired of cajoling Lansing Republicans to support their party’s platform then please help us build a war chest to deploy in 2014.  Help us elect freedom-loving, principled conservatives.

Formed in late 2009, RetakeOurGov has grown into one of the strongest Tea Party groups in Michigan.  It was the first Tea Party group to form Political Action Committees in Michigan.  ROG formed a federal PAC in 2010 and a state PAC in 2011.  ROG has contributed funds to candidates in Presidential, US Senate, Congressional, State House, State Senate, County Commission, and School Board elections.  ROG has also made independent expenditures and have bundled contributions for candidates. 

RetakeOurGov-Michigan is a political action committee (PAC) and part of the RetakeOurGov Tea Party Group.  RetakeOurGov-Michigan is an independent PAC, not authorized by any candidate or candidate committee.  We are non-partisan and oppose candidates, regardless of party affiliation, that fail to support a limited role for government, as expressed in the Constitution of the United States.  RetakeOurGov will also endorse and support candidates who support our Constitution.

Being registered in the State of Michigan allows RetakeOurGov-Michigan to legally spend money in elections within Michigan.  This includes statewide offices such as Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, State Supreme Court Justices, etc.  We can also spend money in local races such as State Senate, State Representative, County Commissioners, etc.  Further we can exert our influence in property tax millage votes, as well as all other ballot initiatives.  In short, when dealing with elections within the State of Michigan, RetakeOurGov-Michigan will be there to represent your interests of limited and constitutional government.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  RetakeOurGov-Michigan may only contribute to elections governed by the State of Michigan.  This does not include Federal elections for Congress, Senate, and President.  If you want your campaign contribution to be used in a Federal race please contribute to RetakeOurGov PAC.
