Donate to Franklin & Lee

Franklin & Lee is an independent, nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(4)  of the Internal Revenue Code whose mission is “to recruit, educate, train and support leaders who believe in the traditional principles of individual responsibility, fiscal accountability, and transparency…” Franklin & Lee does not represent nor contribute directly to any political candidate, campaign, or committee. 

Any person or entity that contributes more than $5,000 to a Section 501(c)(4) organization must be disclosed to the Internal Revenue Service in our annual tax return. The IRS does not make these donor disclosures available to the general public, and Franklin & Lee does not provide this information to the public.

There are no limits in the amount that may be contributed to Franklin & Lee  by an individual, corporation, union, trade association, or other organization; however, Franklin & Lee does not accept contributions from foreign nationals or foreign entities.

The Internal Revenue Code provides that your contribution to Franklin & Lee is not eligible to be deductible for federal income tax purposes as a charitable contribution. Funds received by Franklin & Lee may be used for grassroots lobbying and other similar activities, and may not be deductible as business or trade expenses. You should consult with your advisors before taking any deduction.
