The Tennessee Honey Badgers are a new upstart semi-professional/minor league football team wanting to call Rutherford County home. The team has received non-profit status. We are a member of the brand new late summer/fall developmental league known as the World Minor League Football organization. The team is made up of recent former high school seniors who did not get recruited but want a viable option to receive a scholarship to college to play football, former college players who are looking for a second chance to resurrect their careers, and current semi-pro/minor league players looking for a real shot at making that jump to the next level. Players do not get paid to play, they have to play to tryout and also play on the team. Players are required to pay a 200 dollar player fee which covers uniforms, insurance for the team, insurance for each individual player along with league ID Cards, and goes towards travel expenses.
