Keep Guns out of Classrooms in Texas
In the wake of the terrible tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, Governor Perry and a handful of other firearm-obsessed politicians have already stated their intentions to push legislation that would force guns into both college and grade school classrooms. Even before Newtown, the Texas State Rifle Association had said that guns on campus was its number-one priority.
We envision a different Texas, a different America. We don't believe that the answer to gun violence is more guns. We certainly don't believe that arming kindergarten teachers is a viable solution. We support law enforcement, universal background checks, and other reasonable regulations on firearms.
