The Tank has presented new work by emerging artists for 8 years, creating a home for producers, musicians, comedians, writers and acts-that-defy-definition. In the past year alone, we have presented over 500 events in a collaborative, creative environment where we have given artists space to explore and audiences the chance for adventure experiences.
Now, we need our community to give to The Tank to ensure we continue our summer and fall seasons.
After June 30th, The Tank will no longer have its home on West 45th Street. We will be partnering with another theater company to ensure a home for our summer and fall programming, but we need help.
We are raising $60,000 to allow our programming to continue uninterrupted while we move to a transitional space and develop a long-term home for The Tank -- and we need $20,000 of that goal to come from the artists, audience, friends and community members that make The Tank what it is.
If every person who came to The Tank this year gave $1, we'd hit our goal. If 200 friends dig deep and give $100 each, we can make this happen. If every show that benefitted from the opportunity to perform asked their list for $40, we'd be there.
Our Board is doing its share, raising $20,000. And we are pursuing major supporters for another $20,000. But "big money" is often leveraged by smaller gifts -- by donors seeing that our community supports us and knowing that The Tank is valued by those it serves.
So help us out: whether $25 or $250, can you make sure we make this move to The Next Tank?
